Field Trips

We have some awesome field trips planned for this year!! We encourage parent chaperones to attend; all parents get to participate in all the activities as the students. In order to chaperone, you MUST be fingerprinted through Livescan. If you are not fingerprinted, there will be a station to get it done at Back-to-School Night this year. If you cannot make that, please see Joan Pulling in the office for the information.
Here is a list of our trips that are scheduled at this time:
October 7th: Exploratorium in San Francisco (Our whole class): This is an all hands-on Science Museum, where the students and parents get to experience and play with over 200 different exhibits.

October 8th: Coloma (4th Grade ONLY): Gold Rush Days

November 5th: California State Capitol/ Riverboat Ride/ Railroad Museum (5th Grade ONLY): These museums are all about History. Boxed lunches are provided for everyone, and hopefully this year it won't rain on us while on the boat ride! :)

February 10th: California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco (5th Grade): Exploring through the Planetarium, Rainforest, Aquarium, Living Roof, and many other exhibits, this museum is all about Science.

March 8th: Moaning Caverns and Calaveras Big Trees Park(5th Grade ONLY): At the Moaning Caverns, going on a walking tour to the bottom of the cavern, climbing up the Climbing Tour 45 feet high, or mining for gems, students get to take home an incredible experience! We will end the day with going on a mile hike through Big Trees Park.

April (date TBD) (Our Whole Class): Rivercats AAA Day

May (date TBD) (5th Grade ONLY): Intel

May 25th: This is our day designated to our 5th grade celebration. We begin the day going to Jump Sky High while our amazing parents and volunteers are setting for an afternoon of fun and games!
