Birthday & Holiday Celebrations

Celebrations

Children love to celebrate their special days. By district policy and to ensure that all students are able to participate, food items may not be shared on birthdays, but students are welcome to give out traditional "party favors" such as pencils, stickers, bookmarks, mini-notebooks, etc. Please note:  If food items are brought for a child's birthday, they will not be distributed and will be returned to the parent.

I encourage families to celebrate student birthdays by choosing that particular week to be the Super Star Student of the Week or by purchasing a library book in the student's name. Please see me or Mrs. Allen, our librarian, for details about the Celebration Book Club.

Unless everyone in the class is invited, party invitations must be distributed outside of the classroom, preferably after school. Thank you for your cooperation.

Class parties are limited to three per year and will be determined by the Room Parent and the teacher.
