Welcome to Mrs. Alexander's Class

Welcome back to school!

I am very excited to be a part of Rescue Elementary this year! Let's work together to make this school year a great one!

As we are a week into school, we are getting into a routine of things, slowly but surely! :)

A couple of reminders:

  • We are having a Native American Feast in our classroom at lunch time on Friday, November 20th! Information will be sent home with your child today (November 17th).  We would love some donations! Examples include: celery sticks, baby carrots, apple slices, rolled turkey slices, corn tortillas and cheese, sweet potato/pumpkin items, goldfish crackers, tuna sandwiches, candy corn, trail mix (no nuts), granola, corn bread, sunflower seeds, corn chips, berries (fresh or dried), juice (box or with cups), or popcorn.  I will bring plates and napkins!   Any donation is appreciated!!

  • We spend the last 15 minutes of every day writing down homework, gathering necessary supplies for the evening, packing, and cleaning...Bottom line, we are trying to get your students ready with all the necessary supplies BEFORE they go home!! :)
  • Reading Counts is up and running, so let's get to reading! Library does begin next week.
  • PE occurs with Mrs. Larsen on Thursdays and Fridays; please make sure your students are dressed appropriately.
  • Book Orders have been sent home. This is a great way to support our school and our classrooms, as we earn new books for every order placed. The website is www.scholastic.com/bookclubs and the password is GKCLT.
I think this is all for now!
