Rescue Elementary School - Home of the Raiders

Principal's Corner

Dear Rescue Families:
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!  I’m looking forward to working with all of you this year.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me in person, by e-mail or by phone: 677-2720.  By communicating and working together, we can make this a successful year for all.  It is a great honor to be the Principal of Rescue Elementary School!  The staff at Rescue recognizes that educating your children is a privilege and is a team effort.  We encourage a positive home/school relationship and value your input and participation in making sure that your students receive the very best possible education we can provide.

I am happy to share that Rescue Elementary School will be celebrating its 60th birthday this year.  With that in mind, our school theme this year will focus on  "Leaving a Legacy."  Everyone is on a journey of experience.  As a school, we have the privilege to work with learners that possess many interests, strengths, and passions.  It is important to celebrate the diversity of each member of our school community and offer a quality learning experience that not only prepares students for the next level, but that fosters those passions.  We are committed to helping your students learn, develop and grow in all aspects in a safe environment for students that provides them opportunities to think critically, collaborate and communicate with their peers and members of the community, and to encourage creativity. Our goal is to prepare every student with essential skills and knowledge that will open doors of opportunity and promote their success in our ever changing world.  This will allow our students to enjoy the legacy left by former students and members of our community and inspire them to achieve their goals and leave legacies for those in the future.
I am a big believer that it takes a village to raise a child and that we cannot do our job without the support from you! We believe in providing an environment that encourages each child to be respectful, responsible, and safe to maximize their learning progress and life experiences. Our mission supports students, staff, parents, and our community working together to help students be the best they can be in and out of the classroom.  I look forward to partnering with you in this effort!  I also invite all male role models (i.e. dads, grandparents, uncles, guardians) to be involved in our WATCH D.O.G. program.  Check out for more information and call the office to schedule a day to be a WATCH D.O.G.
I am frequently out and about on our campus, please take an opportunity to introduce yourself or contact me if you need any assistance.  I am excited about the opportunity to work with your children this year.
Have a great year!
